In our quest to help vacation rental managers improve marketing efforts and increase bookings, every week we showcase a website sample from one of our wonderful clients. Learning from existing vacation rental websites will help generate an understanding of how to go that extra marketing mile with your holiday home business. A great example we are putting under the spotlight this week is DesignerStay who use their website to share beautiful handpicked short-term rentals.
DesignerStay represent a select network of owner’s properties that aim to provide guests with a truly authentic experience. Their range of handpicked vacation rentals are situated across European cities Paris, London, Barcelona and Amsterdam, with beautiful villas and chateaux across France and Italy. They have paid extra attention to detail throughout their website to ensure that each property exerts a unique style and charm.
DesignerStay have gone for a bold and crisp design that exerts professionalism. The home page is constructed well for the user to easily navigate themselves around with everything you need right in front of you. The minimalistic approach is not only attractive but provides a smoother booking process.
What caught our eyes the most was the beautiful scrolling images across the main page, each cleverly captioned with a short description of what makes DesignerStay’s properties special. This is an excellent marketing approach that will attract users, encourage them to find out more, and in turn increase bookings.
Also on the home page, as you scroll down the user will see featured properties with links to their full listing page. DesignerStay have taken great advantage of utilizing their website space by pushing properties to the foreground – if there are gaps in a property’s availability calendar, featuring it on the home page will increase interest and encourage booking.
DesignerStay have made the booking process very easy for guests; users can search by destination, date availability and number of guests immediately from the home page. The same search availability tool is embedded on each property page, further encouraging bookings.
Each property listing page includes a full informative property description, list of amenities and activities in the area, reviews of the property (if any) and a useful availability calendar that sits at the bottom of the page. Providing lots of information on each property works to make sure that the potential booker doesn’t look elsewhere and DesignerStay have done a great job of adhering to this.
The user can then enquire for a rental through a simply inquiry form or browse multiple properties and compile a list of their favourites. From there, the guest can inquire in order of desirability to increase chances of there being at least one property available for their requested dates.
Our Favourite Part of the Website:
An excellent feature of DesignerStay’s website is the Facebook social plugin for their property review section. Enabling previous guests with the option to communicate their stay via their Facebook login encourages reviews which are very important for helping future guests decide whether to book or not.
Whether you are looking to stay in a stylish apartment in Paris, London, Barcelona, Amsterdam or a luxury villa in Italy or France, DesignerStay have a beautiful selection of hand-picked short-term rentals. Or if you would like to network with DesignerStay, be sure to take a look at their website.
Please note that the website samples we provide are only to spotlight the websites of our clients. To respect the time and effort these agencies have put into creating their websites, we ask that you do not replicate design elements or content pieces.
