VacationRoost heighten competition with HomeAway
According to Skift this week, VacationRoost’s latest acquisition with LeisureLink shows that they are emerging as strong competition to the ever-growing HomeAway.
“VacationRoost says its new and expanded combined network with LeisureLink offers more than 200,000 vacation rental and timeshare units that are bookable and commissionable, an important distinction because lots of HomeAway’s listings aren’t bookable online.”
The emergence of a potential HomeAway alternative is good news for the vacation rental industry. Competition is healthy after all and it further encourages expansion of the vacation rental community.

A year of milestones for Wyndham Vacation Rentals
Wyndham Worldwide are huge in the industry, managing more than 25 vacation rental brands including James Villas, Hoseasons and Canvas Holidays. 2014 is the year of milestones for the company where they will be celebrating up to 70 years of success!
This is great news that a longstanding vacation rental provider is still going strong! Since Hoseasons began in a small boatyard back in 1944 and is now a leader of self-catering vacations in the UK, it suggests a promising future for vacation rental businesses just starting out.
