Tell us about yourself!
My name is Louis, and I am 27 years old. I grew up in the big north of France, then studied Business and Marketing in Lyon. I lived in Australia for two years, and Asia for six months. I love traveling and would love to buy a boat and travel around the word before I get old.
What is your role at Kigo?
I started at Kigo about two years ago as an intern, and now work in sales as a development representative for the French speaking market.
Why do you do your job? What do you like about it?
I do my job because I like to be challenged, I am learning and I have great people around me in the office. Also, I’ve always been very interested in the vacation rental industry as it’s a very dynamic sector.
How do you approach finding places to stay when you travel?
When planning a trip, I give a lot of importance to friends’ past experiences and reviews.
What do you look for in a vacation rental? What do you avoid?
In a vacation rental, I look for a good location, and an environment that is very typical of the country I am visiting in term of decoration, culture and atmosphere. I avoid big buildings, hotel chains, all-inclusive package and noisy places.
How can property owners make their vacation rentals more appealing to travelers like yourself?
Providing a car, a moto, a mountain bike or a surfboard according to the property location is very helpful. Property owners can also give presents like typical food or beverages when guests check in.
