Meet Orrin Jolley, an Account Executive working in Barcelona. When he’s not helping grow Kigo business in the UK and Australia, Orrin coaches soccer and travels like a boss. Tell us about yourself. What do you like to do outside of work?

Hi! My name is Orrin and I am named after a River in Scotland. Look, it’s true – google it! I was born and raised in London and spent my childhood days causing mischief with my older brother. Football (Soccer) is my passion. I watch it, play it and I am also a qualified coach. I spend the rest of my hours keeping active. I run, hit the gym, climb and dive as often as I can.

What is your job at Kigo?

I am an Account Executive working on the UK/AUS market. I’ve dedicated the last eight years to various global sales positions, so it is fair to say that I love sales. However, my role at Kigo also allows me to help those around me become a better version of themselves. That is why I get out of bed (really early!) every morning. 

How does your travel passion help you understand our Kigo customers?

I have spent a huge amount of time travelling, so I understand customer demands placed on vacation rental managers. Knowing I provide a solution that helps customers communicate and understand each other better gives me a ton of job satisfaction.

Tell us your favorite travel advice. What influences you?

  • Travel off season: My best advice is to travel off-peak or in shoulder seasons, as you can book great properties at a discount.
  • Flexible check-in hours:  I usually travel very early morning or late at night, so arrival flexibility is very important.
  • Great reviews and photos: I avoid booking properties with poor quality images and very few reviews.
  • Location descriptions: If property managers take the time to describe the local area, it’s a big win. Knowing there are hiking trails, wine tours or historical sites nearby makes my decision much easier.
